How long are therapy sessions?
Most appointments are 45-60 minutes.
We offer in-office therapy sessions, walk-and-talk therapy, and telehealth on a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform.
What can I expect at my first appointment?
The first therapy session allows the client and clinician to get to know one another and begin building the therapeutic relationship.
When you book your first session, you will receive electronic consent and intake forms via a secure, online client portal.
During the initial appointment, the therapist will review confidentiality and practice policies, gather information about you and your history, and ask questions about recent situations that prompted you to initiate therapy. Please know that you can decline to answer any question that makes you uncomfortable but it will be helpful to your treatment to be as open and honest as possible. Goals for therapy are determined at this appointment and your therapist may offer recommendations and referrals regarding your mental healthcare.
